This Privacy Policy explains how Morningside Ventures LLC, doing business as CHELA ("CHELA", "we", "us"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit or buy from holachela.com, or contact us.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, order details, and any messages you send us (by email, WhatsApp or social media).
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments and its card networks). We do not store full card numbers.
  • Information collected automatically: device and browser details, IP address, pages viewed, products added to cart, and how you arrived at our site. We collect this through cookies, pixels and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (see "Cookies and advertising").

How we use it

  • To process and deliver your orders, send order and shipping updates, and handle returns.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer service, including through WhatsApp.
  • To send you news and offers, if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To measure and improve our website and our advertising, and to show you relevant ads on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
  • To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

For visitors in the European Economic Area and the UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (orders), our legitimate interests (site security, customer service, improving our store), your consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies and advertising pixels), and compliance with the law.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run our store:

  • Shopify, our e-commerce platform, which hosts our store and processes orders.
  • Payment providers, to process payments.
  • Shipping carriers (such as DHL), to deliver your order.
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), to measure and deliver our ads and to communicate with you on WhatsApp.
  • Service providers that help us with email, analytics and customer service.
  • Authorities, when required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the store working (for example, your cart), to understand how the site is used, and for advertising. The Meta Pixel and Conversions API send Meta information about actions on our site (for example, viewing a product or completing a purchase) so we can measure and improve our ads. Where required by law, non-essential cookies and pixels are only used with your consent, which you can give or withdraw through the cookie banner on our site. You can also manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings.

International transfers

We operate from the United States and Argentina, and our service providers may process data in other countries. When we transfer personal information from the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfill orders and meet accounting and legal obligations, and marketing information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to hello@holachela.com. We'll respond within the time required by applicable law.

  • EEA/UK: you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
  • California and other US states: you have the right to know, delete and correct your information, and to opt out of "sharing" for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
  • Argentina: under Law 25.326 you may access, rectify and delete your data. The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP) is the supervisory authority for personal data protection.

Children

Our store is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
